For the roles that Yann Aubert danced many good critics were written. Here are some excerpts:

In the Stuttgarter Zeitung newspaper (April 18, 1995) Horst Kögler, wrote, " ...a strong character was interpreted by Yann Aubert as 'Lightborn' the last lover and killer of Edward".

"...and Sylvia Jimenez in a convincing and sensitive scene with Yann Aubert, proved one thing, which was; the future of the Stuttgart Ballet is presently looking at its best" wrote Hartmut Regitz for the Stuttgarter Nachrichten newspaper on January 17, 1994.

"... and then there were two short (unfortunately each only one minute long) shining performances: Yann Aubert as the gravity freed 'James' in 'La Sylphide'..." Bernd Krause, Stuttgarter Zeitung, March 21, 1992.

"...one of the big wins [of the Stuttgart Ballets 'Romeo and Juliet'] is the very serious Yann Aubert as the Duke of Verona" wrote the Cannstatter Zeitung, September 30, 1996.

The Israeli critic Giora Manor wrote for the "Israel Dance Magazine" August 1997, "Lior Lev brought with him from The Stuttgart Ballet, an outstanding brilliant dancer, Yann Aubert".
